Solution

The programmed patient must never be moved to test the security of spinal immobilization.  The examiner may check that straps are snug, but not so tight as to compromise patient circulation or respiration.  If the examiner has any doubt how to assess whether the patient is secured to an immobilization device, he or she should seek immediate guidance from the State Evaluator.
